Testimonials

I have searched for years for a system that would allow me to transmit emergency information to the 200+ Public School facilities, 34 area hospitals and 12 news outlets that service the Atlanta metro area. My requirements for an emergency notification system were simple. It had to be easy to use. The receivers had to be able to display and store the information that was transmitted thus eliminating the need for the organization receiving the information to call our offices if they did not read the message immediately when it was transmitted. It had to have a backup power source. The cost of the receivers had to within reach of my limited budget.

Local governments throughout the United States are moving rapidly from conventional VHF and UHF systems to 800 MHz trunked systems. This move away from conventional two-way radio frequencies adds to the dilemma of creating a simple, low cost, emergency notification system. I have not found one company that produces a text receiver for an 800 MHz trunked radio system.

The dataFM system not only meets my requirements it exceeds them. By providing access to a 100,000 watt commercial FM broadcast station we have coverage that far exceeds our expectations allowing some 9 county emergency management organizations in a 50 mile radius of Atlanta to have access to the system. The transmitter to constantly monitored and backup systems are in place if a malfunction should occur. The dataFM receivers, which come in a desktop and a wall-mount unit are inexpensive compared to other receivers and are easy to install and operate.

The Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency is pleased to be a part of the dataFM system.
